Beach Terrace is the only hotel in Carlsbad with direct beach access-guests walk a few steps from the pool deck onto the sand. The heated outdoor pool overlooks the Pacific Ocean, and a dedicated attendant sets up lounge chairs, umbrellas, and towels daily on the beach. After sunset, guests gather around the fire pits with complimentary blankets and warm apple cider.

Every room at Beach Terrace includes a private balcony with views of the ocean or courtyard, and comes with a custom pillow menu to choose from (firm, soft, or memory foam). Guests can request a preferred coffee maker model-drip, pour-over, or Keurig-and in-room spa services like massages and facials are available upon booking. Several rooms offer connecting doors for families, and all have 42-inch flat-screen TVs, mini-refrigerators, and high-thread-count sheets.

Dining & Breakfast

Each morning, Beach Terrace Carlsbad serves a complimentary breakfast that changes daily, featuring items such as prosciutto, Brie, overnight oats with toppings, and pastries from a local bakery. In the evening, the lobby offers warm apple cider with cinnamon sticks, dehydrated oranges, and star anise. Guests can also enjoy flavored water throughout the day and a selection of coffee and tea in the breakfast room.

Beach Terrace is located in Carlsbad Village, within walking distance of more than 70 restaurants and shops along State Street. Guests can borrow complimentary beach cruisers to explore the area or drive 10 minutes to Legoland California and the California Surf Museum. The hotel also provides a list of vegan-friendly and family-friendly dining options upon check-in.
